Every summer we head up to Maine for a family oriented vacation at my husbands’ grandparents summer lake house. It’s filled with family members from all over the country from June until late August. We just love that you have to take a ferry boat to get to the island and there is just one general store and restaurant! We really enjoy spending time there and my mother-in-law calls it her heaven on Earth.

Well that’s how we felt when we arrived to north Captiva Island, only hotter and instead of a lake it was the beach. You can get there by ferry or boat. There is only 3 stores and restaurants and everyone drives via golf cart on the island once you are off the ferry boat. There are no street lights and it is just so pristine and peaceful! We can not wait to go back for a little vacation one day! I just loved this wedding, the beach inspired details just spoke to me.
